We played at YAHOOZ' Coffee Saturday night- it was a great experience! A very quaint, cozy atmosphere on their neat patio space. It was just about perfect in every way. We stopped playing a little early as wild weather was approaching but we got out just before heavy rain started falling. It was one of those nights when the sound was right on the mark. The people at YAHOOZ were extremely gracious. You've got to visit there and try one of their chocolate malts!- Randy

Saturday night at Up-A-Creek was was so good that I added this Journal section so I could comment on it. Thank you for showing up for our performance, the audience was so warm and so polite and attentive that the feeling was like a concert instead of just a "gig". It was a sincere pleasure to be in the presence of such wonderful friends, neighbors and music lovers.
Earlier in the week I went to the EAST TEXAS STATE FAIR in the late morning (you know... when it's free) and eventually went to a concession stand run by a local Luthern church. I was sitting by a group of men I didn't know but they were friendly and everyone around seemed to be so happy and upbeat. The weather was perfect and Fall-like . I looked around and listened to folks laughing, tasted the marvelous comfort food and smelled the great aromas that go with fair food. I was suddenly so proud and happy to live in East Texas. According to so much of the Press America is some hideous, awful place where people suffer constantly and everyone is dishonest and uncaring. Man, reject all of that negative thinking. What a wonderful place we live in, what wonderful people we have as neighbors. Thanks to God for this town, Texas and, of course, the USA. I'll repeat that as many times as needed.
Hey, again, thanks! Randy
